This Privacy Policy explains how FesCode Limited (“FesCode”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit our website, create an account, use the client portal, enrol in our training, or otherwise interact with us. We are based in FCT, Abuja, Nigeria, and act as the data controller for the information described below.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number and password when you sign up or are provisioned an account.
- Project & engagement data — project names, requirements, messages, documents and payment records associated with your work with us.
- Training data — the programs and courses you apply for or enrol in, cohort and progress information.
- Enquiries — anything you send us through our contact and application forms.
Information collected automatically
- Authentication & session cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure the portal.
- Basic technical data such as browser type and general usage needed to operate and protect the service.
Information from third parties
- Google sign-in — if you choose “Continue with Google”, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us so we can create or access your account. We never receive your Google password.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and the client portal.
- To deliver the projects, services and training you engage us for.
- To issue proposals, agreements, invoices, receipts and other documents, and to track payments.
- To send transactional emails (sign-in links, password resets, document and payment notifications).
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To keep our services secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
3. Legal basis for processing
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) we process your data on the bases of: performance of a contract (delivering services you request), your consent (e.g. optional communications), our legitimate interests (securing and improving our services), and compliance with legal obligations (such as tax and record-keeping).
4. Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to run the site and keep you signed in securely — primarily authentication and session cookies set by our login system. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run FesCode, under appropriate safeguards:
- Supabase — authentication, database and file storage hosting.
- Resend — delivery of our transactional and notification emails.
- Google — only if you use Google sign-in.
- Form & communication tools we use to receive and respond to enquiries.
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, or to protect our rights.
6. International transfers
Some of our providers process data on servers outside Nigeria. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on providers that offer recognised data-protection safeguards consistent with the NDPA.
7. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, accounting and reporting requirements. Project and financial records may be retained for the periods required by Nigerian law. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
We protect your data with measures including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls and role-based separation between client and staff accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
9. Your rights
Subject to the NDPA, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data where we have no overriding obligation to keep it;
- object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format; and
- lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@fescode.tech.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults and for organisations. Where a training participant is a minor, we require a parent or guardian to register and consent on their behalf. We do not knowingly collect data from children without such consent.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of our services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
